ANDREW HOEPFNER

Venue Director and Artist

Gymnopedie is the project of Andrew Hoepfner, the Creator at Houseworld Immersive. Hoepfner’s company is best known for creating the interactive dream Houseworld, co-creating the live ASMR experience Whisperlodge, and for creating Bottom Of The Ocean, the surrealist ritual that was staged at Gymnopedie for the whole of 2022. Gymnopedie was founded for the purpose of housing BOTO. Now that this performance has concluded, these unique sets are being utilized and reinterpreted by whoever would like to play inside them.

The pastor, elders, and congregation of Bushwick United Methodist Church have generously allowed Andrew to use their basement in exchange for its restoration. Together, they guide the venue into the future.
