The first step to booking at Gymnopedie is filling out this form and describing what you’d like to do at our venue.
Gymnasium, Locker Room, or Classroom price list
Weekdays before 6pm - $110 per hour
Weekdays after 6pm - $120 per hour
Weekends, from Friday at 5pm through the end of Sunday - $140 per hour
Entire venue price list (Locker + Classroom + Gymnasium)
Weekdays before 6pm - $170 per hour
Weekdays after 6pm - $190 per hour
Weekends - $230 per hour
To stay within budget, productions can rent one space at a time throughout the day, rather than all three spaces simultaneously.
Capacity fees
10 to 25 people in the Classroom: $5 extra per hour
25 to 40 people in the Classroom: $10 extra per hour
20 to 40 people in the Gym or entire venue: $5 extra per hour
40 to 60 people in the Gym or entire venue: $10 extra per hour
60 to 80 people in the Gym or entire venue: $15 extra per hour
80+ people in the full venue: $20 extra per hour
Cancellations
Guests who cancel with 7 days or more advance notice receive a full refund of the rental payment
Guests who cancel between 7 days and 24 hours in advance receive the half the rental payment back.
Guests who cancel within 24 hours pay for the booking in full.
50% security deposit to reserve your time
If the renter is booking a date and time more than 7 days in advance, they have the option of paying only 50% of the amount due. The full payment will be sent 7 days before the rental.
Security Deposit for Anticipated Risks
Gymnopedie reserves the right to request a security deposit at the time of payment on a case-by-case basis. Some of the factors that lead us to request a security deposit are: large groups, productions or events with a high energy party element, potentially messy components (fake blood, confetti, glitter…), pyrotechnics, modifications to the floor, wall, or ceiling, the potential for food messes or large quantities of trash (food, drink, decorations…). Renters will receive their security deposit back in full when they return the venue as they found it at the end of their session. Renters who cancel their booking will also receive their security deposit back in full. The security deposit can be used to cover losses, damage, unpaid overtime, and unexpected cleanup. If the damages or overtime extend beyond the amount deposited, the renter will be responsible to cover the full cost.
Protecting our video projector
Our video projector is a fragile and valuable piece of equipment. In situations where it seems like it will be in the middle of a rowdy setting, we may ask for a deposit to cover the full cost of the projector. In situations where it seems like the setting may be too physically dangerous, we may decide to not offer our projector rental.
